IDENTITY /

‘An identity crisis is a developmental event that involves a person questioning their sense of self or place in the world. The concept originates in the work of developmental psychologist Erik Erikson, who believed that the formation of identity was one of the most important conflicts that people face.’
The event showcased various forms of art, including digital art, visual art, audio-visual art, performance art, film screenings, and live music. It brought together a diverse group of artists who explored the theme of ‘Identity’ through their artistic expressions in a 3-day event, with each day offering new experiences for all.
IN THIS EVENT I HAD A PLEASURE TO SHOWCASE ONE OF MY EXPERIMENTAL WORKS CALLED “BROKEN MIRRORS OF THE SOUL” AS WELL AS PERFORM A VISUAL SET ALONGSIDE SELECTED DJ’S.Images by Stanislava Baskova, 2022

‘Broken mirrors of the soul’
Amid the realm of my artistic inquiry, I embark on an experiential odyssey, diving headlong into the turbulent currents. Here, I wholeheartedly embrace this chaos as a portal to explore the profound enigma dwelling within our analog minds and intricate identities.
My work manifests as a hypnotic fusion of glitches and sensory immersion, forged from the shattered fragments of memories, experiences, and errors. These fragmented relics reside within the archives of our Mind Palaces, where they weave the intricate tapestries of individuality and identity.
As memories inevitably decay into glitched apparitions, they often dissipate within our carefully curated realities, contributing to the complex weave of consciousness—a hidden fabric of noise. I beckon the analog medium and glitches as inviting passages to unearth the nuances and structures of these errors. In this exploration, we encounter ethereal shards of fractured memories, each mirroring the profound depths of the soul—an intriguing and captivating journey into the unknown.
