In "Liminal Currents," an audiovisual collaboration between Egle Saka and Jimmy Peggie (@Avantologist), sound and vision converge to create a hauntingly beautiful meditation on natural textures and transmissions. The soundscape, crafted by Jimmy Peggie, envelops listeners in environmental atmospheres and enigmatic transmissions, evoking a sense of eerie tranquility.
Egle Saka's visual component complements this soundscape with distorted video footage captured during a low-tide walk along the riverbed. As the tide recedes, algae textures are unveiled, creating a mesmerizing, blurry underwater ambiance. The visuals, rich with slow glitch texture and blurry movements of algae, merge seamlessly with the sound, enhancing the meditative experience.
Together, these transmissions and textures form a dark drone meditation, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in a world where the boundaries between the natural and the surreal dissolve, leaving behind a sense of eerie beauty and introspective calm.
